Ch: 8 The Bombing Post 1
The Literary Term for "The Bombing" will be "Dead Metaphor" also known as a cliche. The cliche used in Chapter 8 is "You think money grows on trees?" That cliche is often used when someone asks for something extra but the person is not willing to pay for the expense. It is used to signify that one cannot simply pluck money off of a tree but has to work for the money they earn.

I think that it is funny that Isaac pointed out this cliche because I read this chapter I confused myself. From reading the book we come to know that Billy is rather well off financially but for some reason I always think of him not necessarily as poor but maybe underfunded. The fact that Billy uses this cliche makes me think once again of Billy as "underfunded" but we know that he is rather well off.
